Ordinance 554 ORnI~NCE NO.,2~~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF oILIROY AMENDING SECTIONS 30 AND 71 OlP ORDINANCE NO. lt80 REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STRRgTS BY PROVIDING FOR STOP SIGNS AT RAILROAD GRADE CROSSIHGS, A'ND PROVIDInG FOR STOP Slam ow CASEY STREET AT SWANSTON !..ANE. <a> A stop sign shall be erected on each and every street at its intersection with such through street or portion thereof so designated and at those entrances to ~ther Inter8ecti~ns where a stop is required. Every such sign shall c~nrorm with and shall be placed as pro- vided 1n Section 471.5 of the Vehicle Code. (b) A stop sign shall also be erected at every railroad grade croAsing 1n the City of Gilroy. Said stop signs shall be as described 1n Section 471.5 or the Vehicle Code and shall be located at each side or the crossing at or near the entrance to the grad. crossing. SECTION II: Section 71 or Ordinance No. ~80 of the CitY' ot Gilroy, as amended by Ordinance !{o. 542, 1s hereby amended by adding a new subdivision thereto to be known and hereby designated as Subdivision 2; to read as folloWSI 25. On Oasey Street at its intersection with Swanston Lane, stopping Eastbound traffic entering Swanston r~ne. SECTION III: . If any word phrase, Clause, sentence, paragraph, sectionl or subsectinn or other portion of this ordinance s for any reason, held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision or holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions ot this ordinance. The legis- lative body ot the CitY' of Gilroy hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase thereof', irrespective of the fact that anyone Or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared uncrtnstltutinnal nl' invalid. SECTION IVI All ordinances and parts of ordinances ot the City of Gilroy in conflict with or inconsis- tent with the prOVisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
