ORDINANCE NO. 559
ORDINANCE NO. 559 OF THE CITY O:F GILROY. AN ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF GILROY PROHIBITING A RIGHT HAND TURN FROM MARTIN
STREET, LEWIS STREET, FOURTH STREET, AND FIFTH STREET ONTO
MONTEREY STREET AGAINST A RED LIGHT SIGNAL.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy
DO ORDA IN AS FOI,LOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 480, commonly known as
the traffic ordinance of the City of Gilroy, is hereby
amended by the addition of a new section to be known as
Section 28.5 to read as follows:
Section 28.5 The driver of a vehicle on Martin street
in the City of Gilroy shall not make a right hand turn
onto Monterey Street at the intersection of Martin and
Monterey Streets agains~ a red light signal.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 480 of the City of Gilroy
is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to be known
a8 28.6 to read as follows:
Section 28.6 The driver of a vehicle on Lewis Street
in the City of Gilroy shall not make a right hand turn
onto Monterey Street at the intersection of Lewis and
Monterey Streets against a red light signal.
Secti9-n ~. Ordinance No. 480 of the City of Gilroy
is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to be known
as 28.7 to read as follows:
Section 28.7 The driver of a vehicle on Fourth Street
in the City of Gilroy shall not make a right hand turn
onto Monterey Street at the intersection of Fourth and
Monterey Streets against a red light signal.
Section 4. Ordinance No. 480 of the City of Gilroy
is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to be known
as 28.9 to read as follows:
Section 28.9 The driver of a vehicle on Fifth Street in
the City of Gilroy shall not make a right hand turn onto
Monterey Street at the intersection of Fifth and Monterey
Streets against a red light signal.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full fr)Tce
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of September, 1957,
