AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF TIllE CITY OF GILROY TO VACATB A TEN FOOT ALLEY OR RIGHT OF
WAY, THE CENTER LINE OF WHICH IS THE LINE DIVIDING LOTS 61
AND 62 of SIIERWOOD PARK UNIT NUMBBR ONE.
THE MAYOR AND THE COMMON COUNCIL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION~: The Mayor and Common Council of the City
of Gilroy do hereby declare their intention to vacate a certain
street, public alley, or thoroughfare in the said City of Gilroy,
particularly described as follows, to-wit:
All of the following described alley, or right of
way or easement:
A strip of land of a uniform width of ten
(10) feet, the center line of which is the line
dividing Lots 61 and 62 of Tract 1784,
Sherwood Park Unit No.1, as shown upon the
map thereof on record in the County Recorder's
Office of Santa Clara County, in Map book 71,
pages 28 and 29.
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be published and
said alley or right of way posted as required in the Street
Vacation Act of 1941, under which this proceeding is instituted,

and ~. ~O day of October, 1958, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the
Common Council Chambers, in the Municipal Auditorium, at Sixth
and Rosanna Streets, in the City of Gilroy, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, is hereby designated as the time
and place at which said Common Council shall hear any and all
persons interested in or who may object to the proposed vacation.
One publication of this ordinance shall be made in the GILROY
EVENING DISPATCH, a newspaper published in the said City of Gilroy,
at a date at least ten (10) days prior to the said time of hearing.
SECTION THREE: All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.

SECTION FOUR:
This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
