ORDINANCE NO. 589
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GILROY TO VACATE A FOUR FOOT ALLEY OR RIGHT OF WAY.
THE MAYOR AND THE COMMON COUNCIL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Common Council of the 6ity of Gil-
roy do hereby declare their intention to vacate a certain street,
public alley, or thoroughfare in the said City of Gilroy, parti-
cularly described as follows, to-wit:
All of the f~llowing described alley, or right of way
or easement:
A public utility easement over a strip of
land of a uniform width of four (4) feet.
The center line of which is the line divi-
ding Lots 4 and 5 of Cast1ewood Park Unit
No. 3 as shwon upon the official map thereof on record
in the Office of the County Recorder of
Santa Clara County.
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be published and said
alley or right of way posted as required in the Street Vacation
Act of 1941, under which this proceeding is instituted, and the
15th day of December, 1958, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the Common
Council Chambers, in the Municipal Auditorium, at Sixth and Rosanna
Streets, in the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, is hereby designated as the time and place at which
said Common Council shall hear any and all persons interested in
or who may object to the proposed vacation. One publication of
this ordinance shall be made in the GILROY EVENIBG DISPATCH, a
newspaper published in the said City of Gilroy, at a date at least
ten (10) days prior to the said time of hearing.
SECTION THREE: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from ana-after its passage and approval.
ADOPTED and PASSED this 1st day of December, 1958, by the
