ORDINANCE NO. 599
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING ORDINANCE No 422
OF SAID CITY BY REZONING SAID TERRITORY FROM SAID "E" DISTRICT
TO ZONE liD" DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, there has been heretofore filed with the City
Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy a petition asking
that the premises hereinafter described be rezoned and
reclassified from zone "E" District as defined in Ordinance
No. 422 of the City of Gilroy to Zone liD" District: and
WHEREAS, the said City Planning Commission of the City
of Gilroy has held a hearing upon the said rezoning after
having given notice of the hearing in accordance with law
and the Ordinance of the City of Gilroy and has duly reported
to the Common Council of the City of Gilroy in accordance with
said zoning ordinance: and
WHEREAS the Common Counsel of the City of Gilroy has
heretofore by resolution fixed Monday the 6th day of April, 1959
at t~e ~our of 8:00 P.M. in the Common Counsel Chambers in
the Wheeler Memorial Auditorium at 6th and Rosanna Streets in
the City of Gilroy as the time and place fo~ hearing the said
application for said rezoning and notice of the said time and
place of said hearing has been duly given as required by law
and the ordinance of the City of Gilroy,and said application
having come on regularly to be heard at the time and place
aforesaid fixed by the Common Council for said hearing and
the Common Council having considered the said application
and having determined that the said appl~cation should be
granted as being in the public interest"
NOW THEREFOR THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described premises,
hereinbefore mentioned, in the said City of Gilroy now
located in Zone "E" District as the same is described and
defined in Ordinance No. 422 of the City of Gilroy are

hereby removed from said district and rezones and placed in
liD: District, to-wit:
All of Lot 13 and the most Southerly 47.34 feet of
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Las Animas sub lot No. 11 and
Las Animas Ranch Lot 39 in Rancho Las Animas
Reference is hereby had to the maps and general zoning
ordinance of the City of Gilroy now on file in the office
of the City Clerk.
Section 2. The boundaries of said "E" District and said
"Oil District are hereby changed in accordance with and to
conform to this ordinance and the map constituting a part
of the said "zoning Ordinance No. 422", of the City of
Gilroy, in said Ordinance and therein referred to shall be made
to conform to the changes herein set forth.
