ORDINANCE NO. 600
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. ~~Z
OF SAID CITY B$' REZONING SAID TERRITORY FROM "B" DISTRICT TO
ZONE "C" DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
has of it's own initiative heretofore proposed that the premises
hereinafter described by rezoning and taken from Zone "B" District
and placed in Zone "c" District as said district are defined in
Ordnance No. 422 of the City of Gilroy~ and
WHEREAS, the said City Planning Commission of the City of
Gilroy has held a hearing upon the said rezoning after having
given notice of the hearing in accordance with law and the Ordi-
nance of the City of Gilroy and has duly reported to the Common
Council of the City of Gilroy in accordance with said zoning
Ordinance and in said report recommend said rezoning~ and
WHEREAS the Common Couna~l of the City of Gilroy has hereto-
fore by resolution fixed Monday the 20th day of April, 1959 at
the hour of 8:00 P. M. in the Common Couna&l Chambers in the
Wheeler Memorial Auditorium at 6th and Rosanna Streets in the
City of Gilroy as the time and place for hearing the said appli-
cation fqr said rezoning and notice of the said time and place
of said hearing has been duly given as required by law and the
ordinance of the City of Gilroy, and said application having
come on regularly to be heard at the time2and place aforesaid fixed
by the Common Council for said hearing and the Common Council having
considered the said application and having determined that the said
application should be grfamted as being in the public interest ~
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY', OF GILROY.:DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described premises,
hereinbefore mentioned, in the said City of t~i'1:roy now located

in Zone "B" District as the same is described and defined in
Ordinance No. 422 of the City of Gilroy are hereby removed
from said district and rezoned and placed in Zone "c" District,
to wit:
All of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 2, North of Range 2,
East and all of Lot 4 in Blcok 1, North Range 2
East of the City of Gilroy, as shown on the official map
thereof and also all of the area between the Westerly
boundary line of said described premises and the center
line of Railroad street, reference being hereby had to
the maps and General zoneing Ordinance of the City of
Gilroy now on file in the office of the City Clerk of
The City of Gilroy; and,
Section 2. The boundaries of said "B" District and said
"C. District are hereby changed in accordance with and to con-
form to this Ordinance and the map constituting a part of the
said "Zoning Ordinance No. 422", of the City of Gilroy, in
said Ordinance and therein referred to shall be made to con-
form to the changes herein set forth.
