WHBREAS, there has been heretofore filed with the City
Planning Corm:n1ss1on of the City of Gilroy a petition asking that
the premises hereinafter deecribed ba rezoned and reclassified from
Zone "A. District as defined in Ordinance No. 422 of the City of
Gilroy to Zone .. C-IM D is tr ict.: and
WHEREAS, the said City Plannin9 Commission of the' City of
Gilroy has held a hearin<] upon t.he said application after having
given notice of the hear1nq in accordance with law and the Ordinance
of the City of Gilroy and has duly reported to the Common Council
of the City of Gilroy in accordance with sa.id zoning ordinance and in
said report has recommended ,~aid rezoning: and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Gilroy has hereto-
fore bf resolution fixed Monday the 26th day of October, 1959, at
the hour of 8,00 P. M. in the Common Council Chambers in the Wheeler
Memorial Au4itoriwn at 6th and Rosanna Streets in t.he City of Gilroy
as the time and place for hearing the said aH>lication for said re-
zon1n9 and notice of the said time and place of said bearing has been'
duly given as required by law and the ordinance of the City of Gilroy,
and said application havinq come on re<,JUlarly to be heard at the time
and place aforesaid fixed by the Common Council for said hearin9 and
the COll'lDOn Council baving considered the said application and having
determinea that the qrant1ng of said permit will not be detrimental
to the public interest and that it should be granted,
