AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY Il AMENDING SECTION 69 of ORDINANCE
NOo 480 (TRAFFIC ORDINANCE) BY ADDING A NEW SUB-DIVISION THERETO
MAKING A PORTION OF WELBURN AVENUE A ONE WAY STREET I AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO 563
The Common Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 10 Section 69 of Ordinance Noo 480r ordinarily
designated as the Traffic Ordinance is hereby amended to read as
follows:
SECTION 690 ONE-WAY STREETS. In accordance with Section
29 and when properly signpostedr traffic shall move only
in the direction indicated upon the following streets or
roadways:
10 On the alleys running in a generally Northerly
and Southerly direction through Blocks 1 and 2
North and Block 1 Southll all in Range 1 West
of the City of Gi1roYr and on the alley along
the West side of the Southern Pacific Railroad
Companyts right of way from Lewis Street to
Martin Streetr only South bound traffic shall
be permittedo
20 On the alleys along the West side of the Southern
Pacific Railroad Companyts right of way between
Old Gilroy Street and Martin Streetll only North
bound traffic shall be permittedo
30 On that part of We1burn Avenue as it existed
before the division or branching of the Easterly
portion thereofr from Monterey Street to the
westerly end of the traffic island dividing
We1burn Avenue as it formerly existed from the
Southerly branch or division of said Avenuer
that iSIl at the interior point of division of
the two branches of said streetr only West bound
traffic shall be permitteda
SECTION 20 The Chief Administrative Officer of the City of
Gilroy is hereby directed to cause signs to be placed and erected
where not already in place, in accordance with the provisions of
this ordinance and Section 29 of Ordinance NOa 480: and to remove
any signs not required because of this amendmento

SECTION 30 Ordinance NO.--2~~ and all other ordinances
and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repea1edo
SECTION 40 This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage and approva10
