ORDINANCE NO. 625
ORDINANCE NO. 625 OF THE Crry OF GILROY AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 480 (TRAFFIC ORDINANCE) OF THE CITY
OF GILROY BY ADDING A NEW SECTION THERETO DESIGNA-
TED AS SECTION 72.5 ESTABLISHING A TRUCK TRAFFIC
ROUTE OVER CERTAIN STREETS.
The Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 480 (Traffic Ordinance) of the
City of Gilroy is hereby amended by adding a new section thereto
to be known as Section 72.5, to read as follows:
Section 72.5 In accordance with the provisions
of Section 64 of Ordinance No. 480, when properly sign-
posted and designated by appropriate signs, the following
streets or portions of streets shall constitute and are
hereby designated as truck traffic routes:
Alexander Street from Ninth Street to Old
Gilroy Street, Old Gilroy Street from Alex-
ander to Railroad Street, and on Railroad
Street from Old Gilroy Street to Lewis Street.
Section~. The Chief Administrative Officer of the City of
Gilroy is hereby instructed and ordered to cause appropriate signs
to be placed at the entrances and along the said truck traffic
route designating it as such.
Section 2. The Chief Administrative Officer of the City of
Gilroy shall cause a notice of this Ordinance to be given to the
Department of Public Works of the State of California in accor-
dance with Section 35702 of the Vehicle Code.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days from
and after its adoption and then only upon the approval thereof in
writing by the said Department of Public Works.
Section~. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
