ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION 14 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 452 (LICENSING ORDINANCE) BY ADDING THERETO
A PROVISION REQUIRING CARD ROOMS TO CLOSE AT OR PRIOR TO
TWO O'CLOCK A.M. AND MAKING A VIOLATION THEREOF A MISDEMEANOR
AND FIXING THE PUNISHMENT THEREFOR AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH
VIOIATION SHALL BE A CAUSE FOR REVOKING/ LICENSE

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Sect ion One .:
Section 14 of Ordinance No. 452 as heretofor
amended in Section Two of Ordinance No. 581, is further amended by
adding new subdivisions to said Section 14, to be known as subdivisions
(c) and (d), and to read as follows:
(c) No card room for which a license is required as
set forth in this Ordinance shall remain open
later than 2:00 a.m. of any daY9
(d) Every person who violates subdivision (c) of this
Section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction shall be punished by a fine not exceeding
$ 500.00 or to punfShment':in the City Prison not
more than

imprisonment, and such conviction shall be cause for

revocation/of the license of such person.
Section~: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
