ORDINANCE NO. 6'37
ORDINANCE ADOPTING UNIFORM ELECTRICAL CODE AS SAID CODE
IS SET FORTH IN THE PUBLICATION THEREOF BY THE
PACIFIC COAST ELECTRICAL BUREAU, 1959 EDITION, REGUIA-
TING THE INSTALIATION OF ELECTRICAL WIRING, ELECTRICAL
DEVICES, APPLIANCES AND EQUIPMENT, PROVIDING FOR COLLEC-
TION OF A FEE, ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND PENALTIES FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF.
The Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain as follows:
Section 1. For the purpose of setting forth proper regulations
for the protection of public health and safety, regulating the
installation of electric wiring, electrical devices, appliances
and equipment, and the issuance of permits, the making of inspec-
tions and the charging of fees, and the repealing of ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict therewith, the Uniform Electrical
Code, 1959 Edition, sponsored and published by Pacific Coast Elec-
trical Bureau is hereby adopted.
Section 2. All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty days from and after its adoption and approval.
