ORDINANCE NO. 641
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION 7101 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 480 (TRAFFIC ORDINANCE) AS SET FORTH IN ORDINANCE NOo 544 BY
PROVIDING FOR AND DESCRIBING YIELD RIGHT OF WAY INTERSECTIONS AND THE
PLACING OF YlIELD RIGHT OF WAY SIGNS AT SUCH INTERSECTIONS 0
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Section 7101 of Ordinance Noo 480 of the City of
Gilroy as set forth in Ordinance 544 amending said Ordinance Noo 480
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 7101. Yield Right of Way Intersectionso In accordance
with Section 3202(b) of the said Ordinance Noo 480r as arnended~
and when yield right of way signs are erected giving notice
thereof: drivers of vehicles shall yield the right of way at
the entrance or entrances to those intersections as follows:
10 On Railroad Street at the North and South entrances to
Martin Streetl yielding the right of way to other vehicles
which have entered the intersection from Martin Street or
which are approaching so closely on Martin Street asto
constitute an ~ediate hazard.
20 On Fourth Street at the East and West entrances to Church
Streetl yielding the right of way to other vehicles which
have entered the intersection from Cpurch Street or which are
approaching so closely on Church Street as to constitute an
immediate hazardo
30 On Fourth Street at the East and West entrances to
Rosanna Street: yielding the right of way to other vehicles
which have entered the intersection from Rosanna Street
or which are approaching so closely on Rosanna Street as
to constitute an ~ediate hazard.
40 On the North branch of Welburn Avenue at the East entrance
to the intersection with the South Branch of said avenue
yielding the right of way to other vehicles which have entered
the intersection from" 1i:he s.aid South branch of said Welburn
Avenue or which are approaching so closely on said branch
on said street as to constitute an ~ediate hazardo
SECTION II: Ordinance Noo 553 adopted on the 17th day of
Juner 1957,. and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealedo
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force 30 days from and after its passage and approvalo
