AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 422 OF THE CITY OF GILROY BY
ZONING SECOND SOUTHERN ADB1TION TO THE CITY OF GILROY AS ZONE "D"
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy has
heretofore, on its own initiative, proposed that Ordinance No. 422,
commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, as
set forth in the Appendix to the Gilroy City Code, be amended by
placing in Zone or District "D", all of the premises included in and
forming a part of Second Southern Addition to the City of Gilroy not
heretofore zoned, and has held a hearing upon the said proposal after
gi~g notice thereon in accordance with law and the zoning ordinance
of the City of Gilroy, and has made its report and recommendation to
the Council of the City of Gilroy recommending that said area be zoned
as District "D"i and,
WHEREAS, the said Council has heretofore fixed the 19th day of
February, 1962, at the hour of 8:00 Ofclock P. M. in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall, No. 10 South Rosanna Street in the City
of Gilroy as the time and place for hearing the said report and
recommendation of said Planning Commission and has now held the said
hearing at said time and place and no one appearing to object to the
said amendment, the council has duly considered the matter and finds
that said proposed amendment should be adopted as being in the public
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF" THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby placed in and made a part of
"D" District, as the same is defined in the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Gilroy, all that portion of the City of Gilroy described as
follows, to wit:
All of the premises included in and forming a part of the
Second Southern Addition to the City of Gilroy, as the same
is described in the annexation proceedings annexing said
area to t he said City of Gilroy.
Reference is hereby had to the maps and general zoning ordinance

of the said City now on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Seceion 2. That the boundaries of the said District and
Zone be changed so as to accomplish the foregoing change in the
boundaries of said "D" District.
Section 3. That the Map of the Zoning Ordinance of the said
City of Gilroy be made to conform to the change herein set forth.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30)days from and after its passage and approval.
