AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SEC. 12.23 OF GILROY
CITY CODE, REIATING TO GARBAGE AND REFUSE COLLECTION, BY INCREASING
THE CHAR.GEl FOR THE <D LLEcrION OF GARBAGE AND REFUSE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Sec. 12.23 of the Gilroy City Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 12.23. Prices for collection.
The ,maximum prices shall be:
For qarbaqe collection only. One container not to
exceed twenty gallons, the contents of which not to exceed
seventy pounds in weight. \
One collection weekly . . . . . . . $1.35 per month
Two collections we~kly . . . . . . . . 2.40 per month
Three collections weekly . . . . . . . 3.50 per month
Collections daily . . . . . . . . . . . 6.50 per month
For each additional twenty gallons, or less, twenty cents
for each collectiono
For rubbish collection only. In containers, one container
not to exceed thirty-two gallons, the contents of which not
to exceed seventy pounds in weight.
One collection weekly . . . . . . . . . $1.00 per month
Two collect ions weekly . . . . . . . . 1.55 per month
Three collections weekly . . . . . . . 2.30 per month
Collections daily . . . . . . 0 . . . . 4.00 per month
For each additional thirty-two gallon container, fifteen
cents for each collection.
For rubbish collection only. By the cubic yard.
One collection weekly . . . . . . . . . $7.15--1 Cubic yard
Two collections weekly . . . . . . . . 9.20--1 Cubic yard
Three collections weekly . . . . . . . 11.40--1 Cubic yard

For each additional cubic yard, one dollar for each collection.
Collection from fifty-gallon incinerator . .$ 1.25
Collection from thirty-five gallon incinerator .75
Fer ~eruse collection. Garbage and rubbish in one con-
tainer, one container not to exceed thirty-two gallons, the
contents not to exceed seventy pounds.
One collection weekly . . . . . . . . . $1.35 per month
Two collections weekly .. 0 . . . .. 2.40 per month
Three collections weekly 0...... 3.50 per month
Collections daily . . . 0 . . . . . .. 6.50 per month
For each additional thirty-two gallon container, twenty cents
for each collection.

For each additional cubic foot, fifteen cents per cubic
foot for each collection.
Where refuse is kept upstairs, an extra charge of tencents
per can per collection will be ,made.
For use of a truck for special hauling of refusel eight
dollars per hour.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty days from and after its adopti0n and approvalo
SECTION 3. All Ordinances and parts of @:r;<iJ.inances of the
City of Gilroy in conflict herewith are herehY'<ene:pealed.
