ORD1:NANCE NO. 689
ORDINANCE ADOPTING PRECISE PIAN LINES FOR THE EASTERLY
EXTENSION OF 10th STREET I FROM MONTEREY STREET TO THE
PACHECO PASS ROAD AS PART OF THE CIRCUIATION ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PIAN OF THE CITY OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy has
made its Official report to the Council on the proposal to adopt
precise plan lines for the easterly extension of 10th Street from
Monterey Street to the Pacheco Pass Road in which report said
Commission recommends the adoption of said plan lines as a part
of the Circulation Element of the General Plan for the City of
Gilroy, and
WHEREAS, the said proposed precise plan lines are described
and shown on a map and report of the City Engineer of the City of
Gilroy, designated as II The City of Gilroy Circulation Element of
General Plan, Official Plan Lines for Tenth Street Santa Clara
County, October, 1962", and
WHEREAS, the Council of the said City of Gilroy has hereto-
fore fixed Monday, the 19th day of November, 1962 at the hour of
8: 00 o,':c:lock p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at No.
10 South Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, as the time and place
for the hearing before said Council upon the said proposal to adopt
said precise plan lines and notice of the said hearing has been
given in accordance with law and the ordinances of the City of
Gilroy, including the Official Plan Line Ordinance of said City;
and
WHEREAS, the said Council has now proceeded to hear the said
report and recommendation of said Planning Commission and has heard
all objections made thereto and has duly considered the said proposal
and has determined that the said precise plan lines as proposed should
be adopted by the Council as being in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN,
as follows:

Section 1. That the said report and recommendation of the said
Planning Commission proposing the adoption of said Plan Lines be
and the same is hereby approved and the said Plan Lines as shown
upon the said map above referred to, designated as "The City of
Gilroy Circulation Element of General Plan, Official Plan linesf
for Tenth Street Santa Clara County, October, 1962" are hereby
approved and adopted as the Official Plan Lines for the Easterly
Extension of 10th Street as part of the Circulation Element of
the General Plan for the City of Gilroy.
Section 2. That the said Map heretofore referred to together
with all data and information indicated thereon is hereto attached,

marked EXHIBIT "A" and incorporated herein and is made a part of this
Ordinance . ~'(
Section 3. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified as such
by the City Clerk shall be delivered to the Santa Clara County
Planning Commission and the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of
Santa Clara County.
THIS ORDINANCE shall take effect and be in full force 30 days
from and after its adoption and approval.
