ORDINANCE NO. 698
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 422, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY I BY
REZONING TERRITORY KNOWN AS GARDEN ESTATES FROM ZONE "B"
DISTRICT TO ZONE "A" DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been held before the Planning Com-
mission of the City of Gilroy for the amendment of the zoning ordinance
of the City of Gilroy by changing from Zone "B" District to Zone "A"
District the premises known as Garden Estates, a subdivision, the
map of which has been recorded in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara, and said Planning Commission has duly
reported to the Council of the City of Gilroy recommending that
said Amendment to the zoning ordinance be adopted~ and
WHEREAS, the said Council has heretofore fixed Monday, the 4th
day of March 1963, at the hour of 8:00 olclock P.M., in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall at No. 10 South Rosanna Street, Gilroy,
California, as the time and place of the Hearing of said report of
said Planning'Commission upon said rezoning, and the said Council
now having heard the said report at the said time and place fixed
in said notice and having duly considered the same and the matter
of said rezoning and, having determined that said rezoning is in
the public interest, and no one objecting thereto~
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain
as follows:
Section 1: That the said Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy
as set forth in Ordinance No. 422, now a part of the Appendix of the
Gilroy City Code, be and the same is hereby amended by reclassifying
and rezoning the aforesaid tract of land known as Garden Estates, a
subdivisionu from Zone "B" District to Zone "A" District.
Reference is hereby had to the map and general zoning ordinance
of the City of Gilroy, now on file in the office of the City Clerk.

Section 2. The boundaries of said "B" District and said "}\"
District are hereby changed in accordance with and to conform to
this Ordinance and the map constituting a part of said Ordinance
of the City of Gilroy, and shall be made to conform to the changes
hereby set forth.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this .18bh day of March 1963, by the following
