ORDINANCE NO. 703
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION
3.11 OF THE GILROY CITY CODE BY ELIMINATING THE
PROVISION BOW IN SAID SECTION REQUIRING BILLB~RDS
OR OTHER BOARDS USED FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES TO
BE ERECTED ON LINES PARALLEL WITH THE NEAREST STREET
The Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3.11 of the Gilroy City Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 3.11 Construction of billboards or other boards
used for advertising purposes shall have a smooth
surface and no nails, tacks or wires shall be permitted
to protrude therefrom except wires used for illumination
purposes.
SECTION' 2. All ordinances and parts of:' ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and
approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August, 1963, by the
