AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SEC.
15.69 OF THE GILROY CITY CODE LIMITING THE TIME
OF PARKING OF AUTOMOBILES ON CERTAIN STREETS AND
PLACES IN THE CITY OF GILROY
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Sec. 15.69 of the Gilroy City Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 15.69. Same - On designated streets.
(a) . When authorized signs are in place giving notice thereof,
no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on the
following designated streets between the hours of 7:00 A.M.
and 6:00 P.M. of any day except Sundays and holidays for a
period of time longer than 1 hour:
1. Third Street between Eigleberry Street and
Monterey Street.
2. The South side of I.O.O.F. Avenue from the
Easterly line of the Southern Pacific Company
right-of-way line to Forest Street.
(b). When authorized signs are in place giving notice thereof,
no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on the
following designated streets between the hours of 7:00 A.M.
and 6:00 P.M. of any day except Sundays and holidays for a
period of time longer than 2 hours:
1. Monterey Street between Seventh Street anq Eighth
Street and from Second Street to Leavesley Road.
2. Eigleberry Street between Third Street and Sixth
Street.
3. The East side of Railroad Street between Old Gilroy
Street and Lewis Street and the West side of Railroad
Street between Old Gilroy Street and Martin Street.
4. Fourth Street between Monterey Street and Eigleberry
Street.
5. Fifth Street between Monterey Street and Eigleberry
Street.
6. Sixth Street between Eigleberry Street and the Westerly
line of the Southern Pacific Company right-of-way line.
7. Lewis Street between Monterey Street and the Westerly
line of the Southern Pacific Company right-of-way line.
8. Martin Street between Monterey Street and the Westerly
line of the Southern Pacific Company right-of-way line.
(c). When authorized signs are in place giving notice thereof,
no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on the
following designated streets between the hours of 8:00 A.M.
and 4:00 P.M. on any school day.
1. On the North side of I.O.O.F. Avenue between Forest
Street and Murray Avenue.
2. On the West side of Murray Avenue from I.O.O.F.
Avenue to the North end of the Gilroy H~~h School
property marked by a drainage ditch.

(d). When authorized signs are in place giving notice
thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle
on the North side of I.O.O.F. Avenue from the Easterly
line of the Southern Pacific Company right-of-way to
Forest Street at any time.
(e). When authorized signs are in place g~v~ng notice
thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle
for a period exceeding 2 hours on the following designated
streets between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P~M. on
any school day:
1. The South side of I.O.O.F. Avenue between Forest
Street and Murray Avenue.
2. Forest street between I.O.O.F. Avenue and Miller
Slough.
3. All of Walnut Lane.
(f). The city administrator is hereby directed to cause
signs to be placed and erected, giving notice of the
restrictions on parking established by this section in
accordance with this section.
SECTION II: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after thirty (30) days from and after its passage and
approval.
