ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 71l COMMONLY KNOWN AS
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY BY REZONING
TERRITORY KNOWN AS LAS AMINAS ESTATES, UNIT NO. l,TRACT
3106iFROM R-A DISTRICT TO R-1 DISTRICT
AND' UN IT NO. r2, TRACT 3412
WHEREAS, ithasheretofare been proposed that the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy be amended by taking from Zone
R-A District and placing the same in R-l District as the same
are defined in the present Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Gilroy, the following described property located in the said
City of Gilroy, to wit:
All the premises constituting Las' Animas Estates, Unit
No.1, Tract 3106; and, Unit No.2, Tract 3412;
WHEREAS, a hearing has been held before the City Planning
Commission of the City of Gilroy on said proposed rezoning and
notice thereof was given in accordance with law and the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy; and,
WHEREAS, the said Planning Commission, after holding the
said hearing, did adopt a resolution in which it recommended and
found that said Zoning Ordinance should be amended in accordance
with said proposal; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has heretofore,
by resolution, fixed Monday, the 20th day of January, 1964, at
the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers at No. 10
S. Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, as the tine and place for
hearing objections to the proposed amendment and notice of the
hearing has been given as required by law and the Council has held
the said hearing and the objections, if any, to the said proposed
rezoning and the said Council has determined that the said proposed
amendment should be adopted in accordance with the proposal;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That said Ordinance No. 711 of the City of Gilroy
known and designated as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy

be, and the same is hereby amended as follows:
That there be, and there is hereby taken from Zone R-A as the
same is defined in said Ordinance, the premises hereinbefore des-
cribed, located in the City of Gilroy and the same is hereby placed
in and becomes a part of Zone R-l.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
30 days from and after its adoption and approval.
SECTION III: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
