ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECS.
42.1 and 42.2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 711 (ZONING
ORDINANCE) SO AS TO PERMIT MOBILE TRAILER PARKS
AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN AN M2 ZONE (LIGHT

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECT,ION 1
Sec_ 42.1 of Ordinance 711 (Zoning OrdinanGe) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
SEC. 42.1 USES PERMITTEDr M2 DISTRICT. The following
uses are permitted in an M2 District:
(a) Any use permitted in a CICommercial District
other than those requiring a conditional use permit
in said Cl Commercial District. No building or
structure designed for or intended to be used or
which has been used as a dwelling shall be used for
the conduct of any business, store or shop in the
M2 district, provided however that any business
use existing in a dwelling in an M2 district at
the time of the adoption of this chapter, shall be
considered as a non-conforming use, but may not be
extended, expanded, enlarged or changed to any
other use, unless and until a permit for such
extension, expansion, enlargement or change in
use is first obtained as provided in Section 71.
SEC'rION 2
Sec. 42.2 of said Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to
read as follows:
SEC. 42.2 CONDITIONAL USES, M2 DISTRICT.
(a) The following uses may also be permitted if
their location is first approved by the Planning
Commission as provided in Section 71:
1. Any use for which a conditional use
permit is required in the Cl (Neighborhood
Commercial) District.
SECTION 3
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty
(30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
