ORDINANCE NO. 731
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SEC. 12.23
OF THE GILROY CITY CODE PROVIDING FOR MAXIMUM CHARGES
TO BE MADE FOR THE COLLECTION OF GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND
REFUSE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Sec. 12.23 of the Gilroy City Code shall be
and is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 12.23. prices for collection.
The maximum prices shall be:
(a) Refuse collection: Garbage and rubbish in one
container not to exceed thirty-two (32) gallons,
the contents not to exceed seventy (70) pounds
weight.
One (1) container collected weekly. . $1.50 per month
For each additional container collected
week ly . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
For each additional weekly collection,
multiply the additional collections by
the above basic rates.
.90 per month
(b) Garbage collection only: One (1) container
not to exceed twenty (20) gallons and not
to exceed seventy (70) pounds in weight . .
same rates as garbage and rubbish in one (1)
container not to exceed thirty-two (32) gallons.
(c) Refuse Collection by the cubic yard:
(1) In bin containers approved
by collector,
For each cubic yard per
collection. . . . . . . . . . . $1.65
(2) Bulk collections or unapproved
containers,
For each cubic yard per
collection. . . . . . . . . . . $2.00
(d) General: Where refuse is kept upstairs, an
extra charge of ten (10~) cents per container
per collection will be made.
For use of a truck for special hauling of refu~e,
a charge of ten {$10.00) Dollars per hour will
be made, plus any required disposal fees.
SECTION II: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after thirty (30) days from and after its passage
