ORDINANCE NO. 736
ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION (a) OF SEC. 3.01 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 733 (ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY)
BY PROVIDING THAT A LICENSE BE PROCURED FOR EACH DOG IN THE
CITY OF GILROY OVER THE AGE OF FOUR MONTHS
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3.01 as set forth in Chapter 3 of Ordi-
nance 733, The Animal Control ordinance of the City of Gilroy, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTIGN. 3.01. LICENSE PROCEDURE.
a. License requirement. Every person owning or having
control, custody or possession of any dog within the limits of the
City of Gilroy shall procure a license for each such dog over four
(4) months of age.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
section 3. This ordinance shall be and is hereby declared to
be in full force and effect from and after 30 days after the date
of passage, and adoption, and shall be published at least once by
title and summary in the Gilroy Evening Dispatch, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City
of Gilroy, California.
This ordinance was regularly introduced at a meeting of the
City Council of the City of Gilroy on the ~ day of April, 1965.
It was regularly passed and adopted by the council of said City on
the ~ day of April, 1965, by the following roll call vote:
