ORDINANCE NO. 741,
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SEC. 21.34 OF
THE GILROY CITY CODE AS SET FORTH IN CHAPTER 21, ARTICLE
II, OF THE SAID CODE BY INCLUDING IN THE FACILITIES WHICH
THE SUB-DIVIDER MUST FURNISH FIRE ALARM BOXES AND CONNECT
THE SAME TO THE GILROY CITY FIRE ALARM SYSTEM FOR MERCANTILE
MANUFACTURING t SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS I NURSING HOMES I AND PLACES
OF PUBLIC ASSEMBLY DEVELOPMENTS
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 21.34 of the Gilroy City Code as found
in Article II, Chapter 21 of the said Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 21.34. Street light requirements and fire alarm boxes.
Standard street lights shall be installed as required by the
city and fire alarm boxes shall be furnished, installed, and
connected to the Gilroy City Fire Alarm System by the sub-divider,
or property owner or developer, at his expense for mercantile,
manufacturing, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and places of
public assembly developments and shall be subject to the approval
of the City Engineer and the Chief of the Fire Department of the
City of Gilroy.
The design, layout and location of the fire alarm boxes shall be
approved by the said City Engineer and the Chief of the Fire
Department.
Section 2. All o~dinances and parts of ordinances in conM
f1ict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and approval.
