AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY APPROVING AND
ADOPTING OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR CHESTNUT STREET
BETWEEN EIGHTH STREET AND LUCHESSA AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy,
California, has heretofore proposed that Plan Lines be established
for:- Chestnut Street from Eighth Street to Luchessa Avenue in
accordance with plans submitted to the Planning Commission and now
on file in the office of the City Clerk entitled "Official Plan
Lines for Chestnut from Eighth Street to Luchessa Avenue, August
196111, and said Planning Commission has held a public hearing upon
said proposal after giving due notice thereof in accordance with
law and has made its report to the Council recommending adoption
of said Official Plan Lines as proposedi and
MiEREAS, the said Council did heretofore fix Tuesday, the 3rd
day of January~ 19671 at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m'l in the
Council Chambers, in the City Hall at No. 10 South Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California I as the time and place for holding the hearing
upon the said report of said Planning Commission and due and legal
notice of said hearing has been given as required by law and the
ordinances of the City of Gilroy, including the Official Plan Line
Ordinance I and the Council having heard objections to the establish-
ment of said proposed Plan Lines, and those who gave evidence
in support for the establishment of said Plan Lines, and the hearing
having been duly closed, and the Council having then considered the
said matter and,,~ deeming it in the public interest that said
Plan Lines be adopted as a part of the circulation element of the
general plan;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain
as follows:

Section 1. That the said report and recommendation of said
Planning Commission proposing the adoption of said Plan Lines be
and the same is hereby ___approved; that said Plan Lines~ as shown
upon said map referred to above, designated as Official Plan Lines for
Chestnut street from Eighth Street to Luchessa Avenuet August 1961 are
hereby ___approved and
adopted as the Official Plan Lines for the
southerly extension of Chestnut Street from Eighth street to Luchessa
Avenue and as a part of the circulation element of the general plan
for the City of Gilroy.
Section 2. That the said Map heretofore referred tOt together
with all data and information indicated thereon is hereto attached,
marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein and is made a part of this
Ordinance.
Section 3. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified as such by the
City Clerk shall be delivered to the Santa Clara County Planning
Commission and the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Santa Clara
County.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force thirty
(30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
This Ordinance was introduced and ordered published by title
and summary at a regular meeting of the City Cruncil held on the 3rd
day of January, 1967z and finally adopted at a regular meeting held
on the 16th day of Januaryz 1967.
