ORDINANCE NO. 792
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE
ZONING ORDINANCE BY REZONING FROM R-3 DISTRICT
AND PLACING IN C-O DISTRICT, PREMISES LOCATED
AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNERS OF WAYLAND LANE AND
BROADWAY STREET.
WHEREAS, There has been filed with the Council of the
City of Gilroy the report and recommendation of the Planning
Commission of said City upon the application of Gloria V. Frisone
to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 711, by reclassifying and placing
in c-o District the following described premises in the City of
Gilroy now in R-3 District, to wit:
PARCEL 1: All of Lots It 2t 3, 4 and 5, in Block 6
North, Range 7 West, as shown on that certain map
entitled "Map of Gilroy" which map was filed for
record in the office of the Recorder of the County
of Santa Clara, State of California, on June 5, 1888,
in Book D of Maps, at page 5.
PARCEL 2: Portion of Lot 6, in Block 6 North, Range
7 West, as shown on that certain Map entitled "Map
of the Loupe, et aI, Northern Addition to the City of
Gilroy", which Map was filed for record in the office
of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, state
of California, on June 5, 1888, in Book D of Maps, at
page 5, and more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the Easterly line of Wayland
Lane at the dividing line between Lots 5 and 6 in Block
6 North, Range 7 West, as said Lane, Lots, Block and
Range are shown on the Map above referred to; running
thence Easterly along the said dividing line between
Lots 5 and 6 to the Easterly common corner thereof;
running thence southerly along the easterly line of said
Lot 6, a distance of 20.00 feet; running thence Westerly
and parallel with the said dividing line between Lots
5 and 6, to the said Easterly line of Wayland Lane;
running thence Northerly along said last named 21.76
feet to the point of beginning.
and,
WHEREAS, the Council has heretofore fixed the 20th day
of March, 1967, at the hour of 8:00 o.clock P.M. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, No. 10 South Rosanna Street, Gilroy,
California, as the time and place for the public hearing upon
said rezoning and notice of the said hearing has been given in
accordance with the Zoning ordinance and said hearing has been
held at the time and place specified; and

WHEREASz The Council finds from the evidence presented at
the hearing that the said rezoning should be approved in accordance
with the recommendation of the Planning Commission,
NOW THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Gilroy does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. Zoning Ordinance No. 711 is hereby amended by
removing from R-3 District and placing in c-o District the
premises hereinbefore described.
Section 2. The Zoning map of the City of Gilroy shall
forthwith be changed to reflect the above change in zoning.
Section 3. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in
conBict herewith are hereby repealed.
section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty (30) days after its adoption and approval.
This Ordinance was introduced and ordered published by
title and summary at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Gilroy held on the 3rd day of April, 1967; and
finally adopted at a regular meeting held on the 18th daycr
April, 1967, by the following vote:
