Ordinance 793 ORDINANCE NO. 793 ORDINANANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY REZONING A PORTION OF MONTEREY NORTHWEST NO. 3 ANNEXATION FROM R-l DISTRICT TO C-2 DISTRICT AND ADJACENT AREA FROM R-l DISTRICT TO M-2 DISTRICT. WHEREAS, There has been filed with the Council of the City of Gilroy the report and recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy upon its proposal initiated upon its own motion to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 711 by re- classifying and placing in C-2 District the following described premises now in R-l District. All that part lying within 150 feet of the westerly boundary line of Monterey Road of that tract of land in the City of Gilroy bounded on the East by the westerly line of said Road, on the West by the Southeasterly extension of Lilly Avenue, on the North by the center line of Ronan Avenue, and on the South by the 5.65 acre tract of land belonging to Irvin Hollister, And the remaining portion of said described areato be rezoned from R-l District to M-2 District; and, WHEREAS, The Council has heretofore fixed the 3rd day of April, 1967, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, No. 10 South Rosanna Street, in the City of Gilroy, California, as the time and place for the public hearing upon the said proposed rezoningg and said notice of said hearing has been given in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, The Council finds from the evidence presented at the said hearing that the said rezoning should be approved in accordance with the recommendation of the Planning Commission as being for the good of the public welfare and in the public interest; NOW THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain as follows: Section 1. zoning Ordinance No. 711 ishereby amended by removing from R-l District and placing in C-2 District that portion of the tract of land heretofore described being rezoned, 79':] lying within 150 feet of the west boundary line of the Monterey Road and rezoning from R-l District to M-2 District all of the remaining porticn of said tract. section 2. The Zoning Map of the City of Gilroy shall forthwith be changed to reflect the above change in zoning. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and approval. This Ordinance was introduced and ordered published by title and summary at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gilroy held on the 3rd day of Aprilz 1967, and finally adopted at a regular meeting held on the ~th day of Aprilg 1967, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS:A 11 emand, Duffi n ,Goodr i ch, Quartiroli ,Wentworth, and Petersen.
