AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 7 11 BY REZONING FROM
I-Z (INTERIM ZONE) DISTRICT TO R-l (SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIA~) DISTRICT THE 4.70 ACRES
OF LAND BELONGING TO THE~lUTHERAN tHURCH:.
WHEREAS, the LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD has hereto-
fore applied to the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy for
the rezoning from I-Z (Interim Zone) District to R-l (Single Family
Residential) District the 4.70 acres of land belonging to said
church originally located alongside Hecker Pass Highway, in which
report it recommends th~}!: the said rezoning be approved as applied
fori and
WHEREASl the Council has heretofore fixed the 2nd day of Oct-
ober, 1967 at the hour of 8: 00 PM., in tho.:; Council Chambers in the
City Hall at No. 1;0 South Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California, as
the time and place for the public hearing upon the said report and
recommendation of said Planning Commission and notice of said hear-
ing has been given in accordance with the requirements of the Zon-
ing Ordinance and said hearing has now been held and evidence re-
ceived upon the said reportiand
WHEREAS, the Council finds from the said evidence and applica-
tion that the public necessities, convenience and general welfare
and good planning requires the change or re-classification of the
premises hereinbefore described from I-Z (Interim Zone) District to
R-l (Single Family Residential) District.
THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROi DOES ORDAIN AS
FO LLOWS :
SECTION I: That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall
be amended by rezoning and re-classifying the said premises herein-
before described belong to the said LUTHER\N CHURCH OF THE GOOD
SHEPHERD from I-Z (Interim Zone) District to R-l (Single Family Re-

sidential District.
SECTION II: The Map of the City of Gilrqr.mil1 forthwith be changed
to reflect the said change of classification of the aforementioned
premises.
This Ordinance was introduced and ordered published by title
and summary at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
2nd day of October, 1967, at which a quorum was present and was
finally adopted at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
23rd day of October, 1967, at a regular meeting of said Council
by the following vote:
