Ordinance 823 ORDINANCE NO. 823 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A CITY LICENSE MAY BE REVOKED OR SUSPENDED FOR CAUSE, AFTER DUE NOTICE AND HEARING, AND THAT A LICENSE SHALL NOT BE REISSUED FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR AFTER REVOCATION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The following sections are hereby adopted as Article V of Chapter 13 of the Gilroy City Code: ARTICLE V. REVOCATION AND SUSPENSION Sec. 13.45 Revocation or Suspension - Violation; Notice; Hearing. In the event that the Chief of Police has reasonable cause to believe and does believe that any licensee or other person employed by or representing such licensee is violating any of the provisions of this chapter or any other law or ordinance relating to the business of the licensee, or is conducting or has conducted or op- erated such business so as to be detrimental to public morals or the public welfare, all facts and information relating to such alleged violation or conduct shall be reported to the City Administrator, who shall forth- with set the matter for hearing at a regular meeting of the City Council and give the licensee at least ten (10) days written notice by registered or certified mail of the substance of the alleged violation and the date of said hearing. The City Council shall hear and receive evidence, written and oral, upon all issues involved, and shall have the power to revoke, or suspend for a period not to exceed six (6) months, such license as it may determine. The decision of the City Council shall be final upon all parties concerned. Sec. 13.46. Revocation - Not to be Reissued for One Year If a license is revoked under Section 13.45, Section 16 A.12 or Section 16 A.13, no license of a similar nature shall be issued for a period of one (1) year from the date of said revocation to the same licensee, nor to any other applicant acting on his behalf. SECTION II. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION III.
