ORDINANCE NO. 833
AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL SECTION 4.28 AND SECTIONS
4.30 TO 4.61 INCLUSIVE OF THE GILROY CITY CODE
RELATING TO THE LICENSING OF DOGS AND THE IMPOUND-
MENT OF ANIMALS, AND TO PROVIDE THAT CHAPTER 3
OF TITLE 4 OF THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY ORDINANCE
CODE AS THE SAME NOW EXISTS OR MAY HEREAFTER BE
AMENDED, RELATING TO LICENSING AND ANIMAL AND
RABIES CONTROL, SHALL APPLY IN THE CITY OF GILROY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Section 4.28 and Sections 4.30 to 4.61 inclusive
of the Gilroy City Code are hereby repealed.
SECTION II. The following sections are hereby adopted as
ARTICLE III of Chapter 4 of the Gilroy City Code:
ARTICLE III. LICENSING AND ANIMAL AND RABIES CONTROL
Sec. 4.30. Poundmaster
The County of Santa Clara Director of Public Health, and
persons duly authorized to act on his behalf, shall act
as poundmaster for the City of Gilroy.
Seco 4.31. Licensing; Animal and Rabies Control
Chapter 3 of Title 4 of the Santa Clara County Ordinance
Code, as the same now exists or may hereafter be amended,
relating to licensing and animal and rabies control, shall
apply in the City of Gilroy.
SECTION III. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days from and after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of October, 1968, by the
