ORDINANCE NO. 875
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING
SECTIONS 13.40-3 and 13.40-35 OF THE CITY CODE
SO AS TO PROVIDE LICENSE STAMPS FOR AMUSEMENT
DEVICES, AND JUKE BOXES AND MUSIC MACHINES AND
PENALTIES FOR FAILURE TO AFFIX SAID STAMPS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Sec. 13.40-3 of the Gilroy City Code is
amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
The City shall issue license stamps which shall be
affixed in a conspicuous place by the owner or agent
to all amusement devices duly licensed hereunder. A
penalty of Two ($2.00) Dollars per day shall be
assessed for each failure to affix the required stamp
to each amusement device. Any amusement device to
which such a stamp is not affixed may be impounded by
the Chief of Police as provided herein until all pro-
visions of this section have been complied with and
all license fees and penalties have been paid.
SECTION II. Sec. 13.40-35 of the Gilroy City Code is
amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:
The City shall issue license stamps which shall be

to all juke boxes and music machines duly licensed
hereunder. A penalty of Two ($2.00) Dollars per day
shall be assessed for each failure to affix the
required stamp to each juke box or music machine.
Any juke box or music machine to which such a stamp
is not affixed may be impounded by the Chief of
Police as provided herein until all provisions of
this section have been complied with and all license
fees and penalties have been paid.
SECTION III. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force (30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December, 1969, by the
following vote:
