ORDINANCE NO. 965
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMEN) ING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY PREZONING 6.5 ACRES AS
Rl (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE), SAID PROPERTY BEING
PART OF A PROPOSED ANNEXATION FILED WITH THE CITY
OF GILROY
WHEREAS, the application has heretofore been made by S.S.
FILICE, A.J. FILICE and O.J. ERENO, to the Planning Commission of
the City of Gilroy for the prezoning of 6.5 acres as Rl (Single
Family Residence) District for property hereinafter described;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
has given due notice of a public hearing upon the said application,
in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy,
has held the hearing, and has made its report to the Council of
the City of Gilroy, in which it recommends that the 6.5 acres
hereinafter described be pre zoned as Rl (Single Family Residence)
District; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has fixed the
7th day of August, 1972, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy,
California, as the time and place for hearing the said report and
recommendation upon the said application, and notice of the said
hearing has been given in accordance with the said Zoning Ordinance,
and a public hearing has now been held upon the said application
before the Council, and the Council having duly considered the said
application and the evidence presented, and has determined that the
said Zoning Ordinance should be amended in accordance with the report
of the said Planning Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
ORDINANCE NO. 965

Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy is
hereby amended by prezoning to become effective upon annexation
and placing in Rl District, as the same is described and defined
in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, the following
described premises:
All that certain real property located in the County of
Santa Clara, State of California, described as follows:
On the east side of Murray Avenue approximately
450 feet north of Leavesley Road, containing 6.5
acres shown as a portion of Parcel 835-04-31 in
the Santa Clara County Tax Assessor's Map Book.
CONTAINING THEREIN 6.5 acres.vo/~
Section 2: The official map constituting a part of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended to reflect
the foregoing changes of classification of the said property.
Section 3: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and approval,
and upon annexation of said property to the City of Gilroy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of August, 1972, by the
