ORDINANCE NO. 1003
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY PREZONING 1.1
ACRES AS R-3 (LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE FAMILY RESI-
DENCE), AND 9.15 ACRES AS R-l (SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE), A TOTAL OF 10.25 ACRES, SAID PROPERTY
BEING PART OF A PROPOSED ANNEXATION FILED WITH THE
CITY OF GILROY
WHEREAS, the application has heretofore been made by
LARRY WILLLARD to the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
for prezoning of 1.1 acres as R-3 (Low Density Multiple Resi-
dence) District and 9.15 acres as R-l (Single Family Residence)
District for property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
has given due notice of a public hearing upon the said applica-
tion, in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Gilroy, has held the hearing, and has made its report to the
Council of the City of Gilroy, in which it recommends that the
10.25 acres, more or less, hereinafter described be prezoned as
requested; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has fixed
the 3rd day of December, 1973, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California, as the time and place for hearing the said
report and recommendation upon the said application, and notice
of the said hearing has been given in accordance with the said
Zoning Ordinance, and a public hearing has now been held upon
the said application before the Council, and the Council having
duly considered the said application and the evidence presented,
and has determined that the said Zoning Ordinance should be
amended in accordance with the report of the said Planning Com-
mission,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy
is hereby amended by prezoning to become effective upon annexa-
tion and placing the easterly 1.1 acres in R-3 District and the
westerly 9.15 acres in R-l District, as the same are described
and defined in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, the
following described premises:
All that real property situated in the County
of Santa Clara, State of California described
as follows:
Approximately 700 feet north of First Street
on the west side of Morey Avenue the easterly
10.25 acres of parcel 783-3-4 as shown in the
Santa Clara County Tax Assessor's Map Book.
Section 2: The official map constituting a part of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended to reflect
the foregoing changes of classification of the said property.
Section 3: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and ap-
proval, and upon annexation of said property to the City of Gilroy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of December, 1973, by the
following vote:
