ORDINANCE NO. 990
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19.28 OF THE
CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF GILROY SO AS TO
PROVIDE THAT RATES FOR INDUSTRIAL SEWER SERVICE
SHALL BE FIXED BY RESOLUTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Sec. 19.28 of the Gilroy City Code is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 19.28 Rates for industrial sewer
service
Rates for industrial sewer service shall
be as fixed from time to time by resolution
of the Council, a copy of which shall be
kept on file at the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION II. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This is an Emergency Ordinance which shall take
effect immediately upon its passage and approval. The facts and
circumstances giving rise to the emergency are as follows:
Present Section 19.28 makes erroneous
reference by number to an outdated Resolution
(No. 518). The amendment should take effect
immediately to correct this error and permit
orderly collection of sewer charges at the
rates now in effect.
This Ordinance was introduced as an emergency measure and passed
and adopted to become effective immediately and ordered published by
title and summary in accordance with provisions of the City Charter
at a regular session of the City Council held on the 6th day of
August, 1973, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: DeBELL, DUFFIN, lIDGHAN, PATE,
STOUT and GOODRICH
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: SILVA
