ORDINANCE NO. 1010
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY REZONING THE
PREMISES AT THE NORTH SIDE OF RONAN AVENUE 500
FEET WEST OF MONTEREY STREET FROM I-Z DISTRICT
TO R3 DISTRICT AFTER DEVELOPMENT PURSUANT TO
SECTION 49 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the application has heretofore been made by
DALE FELLOWS to the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
for the rezoning from I-Z District and placing in R3 District
the premises hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, after duly noticed public hearing before the
Planning Commission and duly noticed public hearing before the
Council of the City of Gilroy on the 3rd day of April, 1972,
the Council on the 17th day of April, 1972, passed its Resolution
No. 1638 granting Special Zoning Exception pursuant to Section 49
of the Zoning Ordinance rather than R2 zoning as recommended by
the Planning Commission so as to permit R3 (Low Density Multiple
Family Residence) development of the following described premises
consisting of two single story triplexes, each with one two-bedroom
and two three-bedroom units, and
WHEREAS, said property has been developed in accordance
with the Application and Section 49 of the Zoning Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy is
hereby amended by removing from I-Z District and placing in R3
District, as the same is described and defined in the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy the following described premises:
All that certain real property situate in the City
of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of Cali-
fornia, described as follows:
Approximately 500 feet west of Monterey Street
on the north side of Ronan Avenue shown as parcels
786-21-36 and 781-21-37 in the Santa Clara County
Tax Assessor's Map BOOk'~JJL~

Section 2: The official map constituting a part of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended to reflect
the foregoing change of classification of the said property.
Section 3: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and appro-
val.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March, 1974, by the
following vote:

STOUT and GOODRICH
