ORDINANCE NO. 1014
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY REZONING A
4.6 ACRE PARCEL IN THE GILROY INDUSTRIAL PARK
FROM M2 DISTRICT TO M3 DISTRICT AFTER DEVELOPMENT
PURSUANT TO SECTION 49 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the application has heretofore been made by
GRANITE ROCK COMPANY to the Planning Commission of the City of
Gilroy for the rezoning from M2 District and placing in M3
District the premises hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, after duly noticed public hearing before the
Planning Commission and duly noticed public hearing before the
Council of the City of Gilroy on the 20th day of February, 1973,
the Council on said date passed its Resolution No. 1712 granting
Special Zoning Exception pursuant to Section 49 of the Zoning
Ordinance as recommended by the Planning Commission so as to
permit M3 (Heavy Industrial) development of the following des-
cribed premises as a concrete batch plant, and
WHEREAS, said property has been developed in accordance
with the Application and Section 49 of the Zoning Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy
is hereby amended by removing from M2 District and placing in M3
District, as the same is described and defined in the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy the following described premises:
All that certain real property situate in the City
of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of Cali-
fornia, described as follows:
The most northerly parcel of the Gilroy Industrial
Park on the west side of Chestnut Street shown as
Parcel 841-15-61 in the Santa Clara County Tax
Assessor's Map Book.fllu
Section 2: The official map constituting a part of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended to reflect
the foregoing change of classification of the said property.

Section 3: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage and appro-
val.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March, 1974, by the
following vote:
