ORDINANCE NO. 1017
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING
SECTION 15.67 OF THE GILROY CITY CODE SO AS
TO PROHIBIT PARKING FOR MORE THAN SEVENTY-
TWO CONSECUTIVE HOURS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The title and first two paragraphs of Section 15.67
of the Gilroy City Code are amended to read as follows:
Section 15.67. Parking for more than seventy-two
hours prohibited; exception.
No person who owns or has possession, custody or control
of any vehicle shall park such vehicle upon any street
or alley for more than a period of seventy-two consecutive
hour s .
In the event a vehicle is parked or left standing upon a
street in excess of seventy-two consecutive hours, any
member of the police department authorized by the chief
of police may remove such vehicle from the street in the
manner and subject to the requirements of the state
Vehicle Code.
SECTION II. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
