AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION
15.49 OF THE GIL~OY CITY CODE PERTAINING TO ONE-WAY
TRAFFIC
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 15.49 of the Gtlroy City Code is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 15.49. Designation and movement of one-wa_~_ traffic,
In accordance with the preceding section and when
properly signposted, traffic shall move only in the
direction indicated upon the following streets or roadways:
1. On the alleys running north and south between
Monterey Street and Eigleberry Street, only southbound
traffic shall be permitted between First and Second
Streets and between Fourth and Seventh Streets.
2. On the alleys running north and south between the
Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way and Monterey Street,
only southbound traffic shall be permitted between Lewis
Street and Hornletn Court.
3. On the northerly branch of Welburn Avenue between
Monterey Street and Church Street, only westbound traffic
shall be permitted.
4. On Martin Street for a distance of 100 feet east
of its intersection with Monterey Street, only westbound
traffic shall be permitted.
SECTION II. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December, 1975, by the
