AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION
15.101 OF T}~ GILROY CITY CODE PERTAINING TO THE USE
OF TRUCK TRAFFIC ROUTES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 15.101 of the Gilroy City Code is amended
to read as follows:
Sec. 15.101. Method of use; except~pn.
When truck traffic routes as described in the
preceding section have been established and designated
by appropriate signs, it shall be unlawful for any
person to own, operate, stop or park any vehicle
exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons
on any street not so designated,
An exception shall be made to the foregoing para-
graph if it is necessary for such a described vehicle
to load or unload at a specific destination not located
on a truck route, but then only if the deviation is
from the nearest truck route by the shortest reasonable
route.
The provisions of this section shall not apply to
passenger buses under the Jurisdiction of the public
utilities commission.
SECTION II. Ail other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
