AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY ENACTING SECTION
6.3 OF THE GILROY CITY CODE REGULATING PLUMBING FIXTURES
FOR WATER CONSERVATION.
SECTION I.
read as follows:
Sec. 6.3.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 6.3 of the Gilroy City Code is enacted to
Regulation of Plumbin~ Fixtures.
As a water conservation measure, the following plumbing
fixtures shall be installed in all new construction in
the city, or whenever existing fixtures are to be replaced:
(a) Low flush toilets requiring approximately
3.5 gallons for operation.
(b) Shower control valves behind shower heads
so as to restrict the flow rate to approximately
3 gallons per minute.
SECTION II. Ail other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be ir~ full
force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and approval
