AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION
23.3 OF THE GILROY CITY CODE PERTAINING TO TAXICAB
RATES IN THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 23.3 of the Gilroy City Code is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 23.3. Same--Schedule.
Rates to be charged for taxicab service in the city
shall be as established by council resolution. It shall
be unlawful except for trips to or from outside the city
where the charge is fixed on a trip basis, for the owner
or driver of any taxicab, as defined in section 23.1, to
fix or charge or collect a rate in excess of the rates
so established.
SECTION II. Ail other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
