ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY PREZONING 43.51 ACRES
ADJOINING THE CITY OF GILROY NORTHWESTERLY OF MOREY
AVENUE AND CALABRESE WAY AS R-1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE).
WHEREAS, WALTER J. HANNA has heretofore filed with the Planning
Commission of the City of Gilroy a petition in due form requesting
the prezoning of 43.51 acres as R-1 (Single Family Residence); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy has given
due notice of a public hearing upon the said application, in accordance
with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, has held the hearing,
has approved a Negative Declaration under the California Environmental
Quality Act, and has made its report to the Council of the City of
Gilroy, in which it recommends that the 43.51 acres hereinafter des-
cribed be prezoned as set forth above; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has fixed the 22nd day
of February, 1977, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California,
as the time and place for hearing the said report and recommendation
upon the said application, and notice of the said hearing has been
given in accordance with the said Zoning Ordinance, and a public hearing
has nOw been held upon the said application before the Council, and
the Council having duly considered the said application and the evidence
presented, has approved the Negative Declaration under the California
Environmental Quality Act, and has determined that the said Zoning
Ordinance should be amended in accordance with the report of the said
Planning Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:

Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy is hereby
amended by prezoning to become effective upon annexation and placing
43.51 acres in R-1 District, as the same is described and defined in
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, the following described
premises:
All that property located in the County of
Santa Clara, State of California, described
as follows:
That 43.51 acre parcel bounded to the north by
the Santa Teresa Hills subdivision, to the south
by E1 Dorado Estates subdivision, and to the east
by Morey Avenue, and shown as parcels 783-03-5,
10 and 14 in the Santa Clara County Tax Assessor's
Map Book.
Section 2: The official map constituting a part of the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended to reflect the fore-
going changes of classification of the said property.
Section 3: Ail ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
thirty (30) days from and after its passage and approval, and upon
annexation of said property to the City of Gilroy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of March, 1977, by the following
