ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROYAMENDING THE ZONING
ORDINAI~CE OF SAID CITY BY PREZONING A 30 ACRE PARCEL
ADJOINING THE CITY OF GILROY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
PAC}~CO PASS HIGHWAY, EAST OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE~
SOUTH VALLEY FREEWAY AS M2 (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL)
WHEREAS, TREVIS BERRY has heretofore filed with the Planning
Commission of the City of Gilroy a petition in due form requesting
the prezoning of a 30 acre parcel as M2 (General Industrial); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy has given
due notice of a public hearing upon the said application, in accordance
with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, has held the hearing,
has approved a Negative Declaration by Santa Clara County under the
California Environmental Quality Act, and has made its report to the
Council of the City of Gilroy, in which it recom~,~.ends thai the 30 acre
parcel hereinafter described be prezoned as set forth above;' and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has fixed the 7th day
of November, 1977, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California,
as the time and place for hearing the said report and recommendation
upon the said application, and notice of the said hearing has been
given in accordance with the said Zoning Ordinance, and a public hearing
has now been held upon the said application before the Council, and
the Council having duly considered the said application and the evidence
presented, has approved the Negative Declaration by the County of Santa
Clara under the California Environmental Quality Act, and has determined
that the said Zoning Ordinance should be amended in accordance with
the report of the said Planning Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:

Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy is hereby
amended by prezoning to become effective upon annexation and placing
a 30 acre parcel in M2 District, as the same is described and defined
in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, the following'described
premises.
All that property located in the County of Santa
Clara, State of California, described as follows:
That 30 acre parcel on the south side of Pacheco
Pass Highway East of its intersection with the South
Valley Freeway, and shown as parcel 841-17-33 in the
Santa Clara County Tax Assessor's Map Book.
Section 2: The official map constituting a part of the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended to reflect the fore-
going changes of classification of the said property,
Section 3: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
thirty (30) days from and after its passage and approval, and upon
annexation of said property to the City of Gilroy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of November, 1977, by the following
