AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION 15.43
OF T}~ GILROY CITY CODE SO AS TO DESIGNATE WREN AVENUE
FROM FIRST STREET TO THE NORTH CITY LIMITS .A THROUGH STREET,
EXCEPT AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH WELBURN AVENUE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Subparagraph 2!2 of Section 15.43 of the Gilroy City
Code referring to Wren Avenue Is amended to read as follows:
22.
Wren Avenue, from First Street to the north city
1-1-~ts, except at its intersection with Welburn
Avenue.
SECTION II. Ail other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby r~pealed.
SECTION III. This is an Emergency Ordinance which shall take
effect immediately upon its passage and approval. The facts and
circumstances giving rise to the emergency are as follows:
A four way arterial stop Should be established at the inter-
section of Wren and Welbu=n Avenues immediately, since it
is a dangerous intersection and is an immediate threat to
health, public safety and !welfare of the general community.
This Ordinance was introduced as an emergency measure and passed
and adopted to become effective in~nediately and ordered published by
title and summary in accordance with provisions of the City Charter
at a regular session of the City Council held on the 6th day of
August, 1979, by the following ivote:
