AN ORDINANCE OF THE!CITY OF GILROY REPEALING
SECTION 15.105 OF THE GILROY CITY CODE AND
AMENDING SECTIONS 15.43 DESIGNATING THROUGH
STREETS, 15.49 DESIGNATING ONE,WAY STREETS,
15.104 ESTABLISHING!CROSSWALKS and 15.106
AS TO PAINTING OF STOP BARS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI%~ OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 15.105 of the Gilroy City Code
is hereby repealed.
SECTION II. Sections 15.43, 15.49, 15.104 and 15.106
of the Gilroy City Code are o~ended to read as follows:
Sec. 15.43 - S .ame- Designation
Through streets in the city shall be established by
resolution of the City Council.
Sec. 15.49 - Design~.on .and Movement of One-Way Traffic
Streets, roadways and alleys in the city upon which
traffic shall move in only one direction shall be established by
resolution of the City Council.
Sec. 15.104 - Crosswalks - Establishment and Maintenanqe
at DeSignated'L~cation.s ' '
The City Administrator, with approval of the City Council,
is authorized to establish, designate and maintain crosswalks at
intersections and other places by appropriate markings upon streets,
roadways and alleys in the city.
Sec. 15.106 - Same-painting of .s.~op bars
A stop bar or limit line and the word STOP in advance of
such stop bar or limit line shall be painted in accordance with the
specifications outlined in Chapter XVI, Pavement Delineation, of
the "Office of Maintenance Highway Maintenance Manual" published by
the State of California, Department of Transportation, at all loca-
tions where stop signs are installed and where no crosswalks are
painted.

SECTION III. Ail Other ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in full force thirty (30)~days from and after its adoption
and approval.
