ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY B! PREZONING A 16.7 ACRE PARCEL
ADJOINING THE CITY OF GI]0ROY ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER
0FLAS ANIMAS AND MURRAYAVENUES AS M2 (GENERAL
INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, J.F. and JEAN BI:NO have heretofore filed with the
Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy petition Z 80-1 in due
form requesting the prezoning of a 16.7 acre parcel as M2 (General
Industrial) District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning commission of the City of Gilroy has
given due notice of a public hearing upon the said application,
in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy,
has held the hearing, has approved a Negative Declaration under
the California Environmental Q~ality Act, and has made its report
to the Council of the City of ¢ilroy, in which it recommends that
the 16.7 acre parcel hereinafter described be prezoned as set forth
above; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has fixed the 7th
day of April, 1980, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California,
as the time and place for hearing the said report and recommendation
upon the said application, and!notice of the said hearing has been
given in accordance with the said Zoning Ordinance, and a public
hearing has now been held upon~the said application before the
Council having duly consideredithe said application and the evidence
presented, has approved the Negative Declaration under the California
Environmental Quality Act, and!'has determined that the said Zoning
Ordinance should be amended in accordance with the report of the
said Planning Commission,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Zoning O=dinance of the City of Gilroy is
hereby amended by prezoning to become effective upon annexation
and placing in an M2 District, ,as the same is described and de-
fined in the Zoning Ordinance oif the City of Gilroy, the following
described premises: i
Ail that property located in the ~ounty
of Santa Clara, State of California,
described as ifollows:
That 16.7 acrie parcel at the southwest
corner of Lasi Animas and Murray Avenues,
being Santa Cilara County Assessor's
Parcel No. 83!5-02-010.
Section 2: The official map constituting a part of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended to reflect
the foregoing changes of classiification of the said property.
Section 3: Ail ordinancels and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repea!led.
Section 4: This ordinancie shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from andi after its passage and approval,
and upon annexation of said property to the City of Gilroy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 211st day of April, 1980, by the
