Ordinance 1980-24ORDIN~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE Cl' 24.9 OF THE ZONING ORD' WMEREAS, the Planning has given due notice of a publ ment in accordance with the Zo ~CE NO. 80-24 ~Y OF GILROY AMENDING SECTION [NANCE PERTAINING TO R3 DENSITY. ~om~_ission of the City of Gilroy hearing upon the proposed Amend- ~.ing Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, has held the hearing, has approved a Negative Declaration under California Environmental Quality Act, and has made its report to the Council of the City of Gilroy, in which it recommends that section 24.9 of the Zoning Ord:Lnance be amended as specified herein, and WHEREAS, the Council o:: the City of Gilroy fixed the 21st day of July, 1980, at the houriof 8:00 pom. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7390 Rosanma Street, Gilroy, California, as the time and place for hearing on the proposed amendment, and been given in accordance with public hearing has now been he] time and place fixed in the sa: the Council having duly constd~ the said report and recommendation due notice of the said hearing has :he said Zoning Ordinance, and a ~d upon the said application, at the id notice, before the Council, and ~red the proposed amendment and the evidence presented, has approved the Negative Declaration under the California Environmental QUality Act and has determined that section 24.9 of the Zoning Ordinance should be amended in accordance with the report of the said Planning Commission° NOW, TItEI:~FORE, TI-t~ COI3NCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Section 24i9 of the Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to read as follows: ORDINANCE NO, 80-24 -1- 24,9 DenSitM limitation. The number of units in a multiple dwelIing or dwelling group shall not eXcee~ !the number obtained by dividing the area of the building site by the following: (1) two thousand (2,000) square feet of lan~ for each one bedroom unit° (2) 'two thousand seven hundred (2,700) square feet of land for each two (2) bedroom unit, (3) Thirty-four hundred (3,400) square feet of land for each three (3) bedroom unit.
