AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING
SECTION 21.41(i) AND REPEALING SECTION 21.41(j)
OF T}~ GILROY CITY CODE TO PE~IT EXTENDING THE
EXPIRATION OF TENTATIVE MAPS TO 60 MONTHS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 21.41(i) of the Gilroy City Code is
amended to read as follows:
(i)
Procedure after recommendation for approval by
commiS'si'0'n. Vpon Weco~--~n~a~£°n ~-o~-
of the tentatzve map by the planning
commission, a copy thereof, together with a copy
of commission's recommendations on such map, shall
be filed with the city council. The council may
approve the map or refer the map back to the
planning commission for further consideration,
study or revision, after which it shall be again sub-
mitted to the council for final action.
Intitial approval of a tentative map is valid for
twenty-four (24) months. Said approval may, at
council discretion, be conditionally extended for
3 periods not to exceed an additional twelve (12)
months each.
SECTION II. Section 21.4i(J) of the Gilroy City Code is
repealed.
SECTION III. Ail other ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and
approval.
