ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF G!LROY AMENDING THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY REZONING A 1,5
ACRE PARCEL BETWEEN SIXTH AND SEVENTH AND HANNA
AND ROSANNA STREETS, A 6.0 ACRE PARCEL AT THE
WEST END OF LAS ANIMAS PARK AND A 0.28 ACRE PARCEL
NORTH OF GILMAN ROAD AND EAST OF CAM1NO ARROYO,
FROM Ri (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, R2
(TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, R3 (MEDIUM
DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT, AND COUNTY AGRI-
CULTURE DISTIlCT TO PPF (PARK/PUBLIC FACILITIES
DISTRICT,)
WHEREAS, application Z 88-1 has heretofore been made
by the CITY OF GILROY to the Planning Commission of the
City of Gilroy for the rezoning of the premises hereinafter
described from Ri, R2, R3 and County Ag Districts to PPF
District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
has given due notice of a public hearing upon the said
application, in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Gilroy, has held the hearing, has approved a Categorical
Exemption under the California Environmental Quality Act,
has determined that the rezoning will not have a significant
adverse affect on the environment, and has made its report to
the Council of the City of Gilroy, in which it recommends
that the hereinafter described premises be rezon~d from Ri
(Single Family Residential) District, R2 (Two Family Residential
District, R3 (Medium Density Residential) District and County
Agriculture District to PPF (Park/Public Facilities) District.

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has fixed
the 7th day of March 1988, at the hour of 8 p,m. in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Street,

Gilroy, California, as the time and place for hearing the
said report and recommendation upon the said application,
and notice of the said hearing has been given in accordance
with the said application, and the evidence presented, has
approved the Categorical Exemption under the California
Environmental Quality Act~ and has determined that the said
Zoning Ordinance should be amended in accord with the report
of the said Planning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
'Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Gilroy is hereby amended by ~ezoning from Ri, R2, R3 and
County Ag Districts to PPF District, as the same are described
and defined in the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, the
following described premises as shown on Exhibit Maps attached
to Planning Commission Resolution No. 88-8:
That certain real property situated in the
City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State
of California, described as follows:
PARCEL A: 1,5 acres between Sixth and Seventh
and Hanna and Rosanna Streets, identified as
Assessor's Parcels Nos~ 799-15-026and a portion
of 799-17-068.
PARCEL B: 6.0 acres at the west end of Las
Animas Park, identified as portions of
Assessor's Parcels Nos. 790-16-001,790-26-003,
790-26-027 and 790-26-046.
PARCEL C: An 0.28 acre well site on the north
side of Gilman Road, east of Camino Arroyo,
identified as Assessor's Parcel No. 841-19-035.

Section 2: The official map constituting a part of
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be amended
to reflect the foregoing changes of classification of the
said property.
Section 3: Ail ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force thirty (30) days from and after its passage
and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of March 1988, by
