AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROYAMENDING
SECTION 13.29 OF THE GILROy CITY CODE PERTAINING
TO PENALTIES FOR LATE PAYMENT OF BUSINESS
LICENSES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 13.29 of the Gilroy City Code is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 13.29. Penalty.
If any license provided by this chapter shall remain
unpaid after the last business day of the month due, or if
received in the mail with a postmark after the month due,
a penalty of twenty-five per cent shall be added to the
amount of such license and be collected by the employee
having charge of the collection of the licenses. An additional
penalty of ten per cent shall be added for each additional month,
or fraction thereof, during which the license remains unpaid.
SECTION II. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption
and approval.
