AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY REPEALING SECTION 19.74
AND AMENDING SECTION 19.75 OF THE GILROY CITY CODE DEFINING
MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING UNITS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 19.74 of the Gilroy City Code is hereby
repealed.
SECTION II. Section 19.75 of the Gilroy City Code is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 19.75. Same - Multiple-family dwelling unit
As used in this article, "multiple-family dwelling unit"
means and includes a building or portion thereof, of permanent
character, permanently affixed to a parcel of land, designed or
used for occupancy for residential purposes by two (2) or more
families living independently of each other and doing their own
cooking in such building, including, but not limited to,
apartment houses, apartment hotels, group houses,, etc.
SECTION III. Ail other ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and approval.
